Join us for a vibrant International Women’s Day celebration bringing together big ideas, real stories and local connections.This special Women in Business event features keynote speaker Dani Valent, one of Australia’s most respected food writers, podcasters and storytellers, alongside a panel of inspiring local women business owners who will share their experiences from the front line. Dani’s business card reads writer, eater, traveller, cook and her career spans journalism, cookbook writing, food tours and over 800 episodes of the beloved Dirty Linen podcast. But today, she’s sharing more than food stories.
Dani will take us on her personal journey from grumpy law student to solopreneur, unpacking the small mindset shifts that changed everything.
With her trademark warmth and curiosity, she’ll explore this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, asking:
• How does giving empower women in business?
• Where are women thriving and where do gaps still exist?
• Can generosity, collaboration and even self-care be powerful business strategies?
Following the keynote, hear directly from local women business owners as they discuss leadership, resilience, innovation and what it really takes to grow a business in male-dominated spaces. Expect honest conversations, practical insights and plenty of inspiration.
